Activations in Civic Center
Christkindl Market
Come down to the Park starting November 17, 2023 for the beginning of the Christkindl Market, a maker market and food destination for the holidays, presented by the German-American Chamber of Commerce. This market offers an authentic German holiday experience, including opportunities to meet St. Nikolaus, Krampus, and the Christkind herself. This event will last until December 23, 2023.
The Mile High Tree Presented by Xfinity
Starting November 17 at 5:15 PM, The Mile High Tree Presented by Xfinity will be lighting up for the season! This seven-story, 110-foot-tall immersive art experience is celebrating its second year in the park and will have a ball drop-style countdown at 9 PM on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2023, to end its run in the park!
City & County of Denver Building Holiday Lights
Stroll over to the City and County building on Bannock street to watch their lights display running all season long! These lights kick off on November 22, the ceremony happens from 4:30-5:30PM!
The light and music show repeats nightly from November 22 – January 21 at 5:45 PM and 6:45 PM, except for Monday nights, December 2 (Parade of Lights) and December 21 (annual memorial vigil honoring persons experiencing homelessness).
9NEWS Parade of Lights
The 9NEWS Parade of Lights is free and will make a circuit through the heart of downtown beginning at 6 p.m. on December 2, 2023, featuring more than 40 participants, including extravagantly illuminated floats, giant helium-filled character balloons, magnificent marching bands, traditional equestrian units, and vibrant cultural displays. And of course, a special appearance by Waddles the Penguin and Santa.
Holiday Lights in Civic Center
Holiday Lights in Civic Center include several holiday activations all within the 12 acres of Civic Center. The Great Lawn Holiday lights are produced by Civic Center Conservancy and provide an extra sparkle to the nearby green space. We’re so happy to have you in the park!
Tiny Tots: Christmas – Inside the Orchestra
Round up the kids and bring them over to the McNichols Building on December 10th! Families will enjoy their favorite holiday music along with the orchestra and special guests. More dates to be announced!

Arriving at the Event
The park will be fenced to ensure the safety of attendees.
Entrances will be located near 14th Ave and Bannock Street, and on Broadway between 14th Ave. and Colfax.
