Public SPARKLES Day
Volunteer Day Details
Welcome to SPARKLES, volunteers!
The Civic Center Conservancy is looking forward to having you at the Speer Blvd. Trapezoid Annual Flower Beds on May 26 , 2026 from 8:30AM-11:30AM. Please plan to arrive at the Civic Center Conservancy tent by 8:15AM so we can get started on time. More details will be provided in the Know-Before-You-Go email that’s sent the Monday before your dedicated SPARKLES Day.
We are pleased to offer a free T-shirt, light breakfast/snacks and water; more information can be found below.
Our volunteer work is going to involve perennial, shrub beds, native debris clean up, and other various horticultural maintenance.
Thank you for helping Civic Center Conservancy keep Denver parks beautiful and vibrant.
Here are some details to prepare for your volunteer day:
Forms – Volunteers must complete these forms before volunteering. The sign-up form below contains the waiver and can be filled out now. Completing the form reserves your spot on the dedicated SPARKLES day and the waiver covers both the City of Denver and the Conservancy.
Food and Drinks – The Conservancy will provide a light breakfast/snacks, and bottled water for all volunteers. Some snacks may contain allergens. Volunteers are welcome to bring any additional drinks or snacks they want.
T-Shirts – We will have T-shirts for all volunteers on site. Volunteers may want to wear something light so that they can put the t-shirt on over the top. Please indicate your T-shirt size on the information form.
Parking – Please note the map above for parking information. Your SPARKLES location has several paid parking lots and 2 hour metered parking near the Speer Blvd. Trapezoid flower beds. I recommend the Firehouse lot on Market and 14th as it has the mobile pay option and typically cheaper. More information will be provided in the “Know-Before-You-Go” email that will be sent the Monday before your dedicated SPARKLES volunteer day.
Tools and Gloves – The City of Denver and the Conservancy will provide all tools needed for your volunteer day. If you would prefer not to share gloves, please bring your own.
Please complete the sign up form and sign the liability waiver (be sure to click next and submit).
