IMPORTANT ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION: 
For this event, here are key transportation impacts:

  • Northbound Lincoln will be closed at 13th Ave., Travelers on Lincoln should detour early via Speer Blvd. or 6th & 8th Avenues
  • Eastbound Colfax traffic should use Speer Blvd.
  • Westbound Colfax traffic should detour before reaching Grant St.

For ease of access to the event, attendees are advised to arrive early and consider parking, walking, biking, or taking public transit. For more information, scroll down to the Arriving at the Event section. 

Civic Center Conservancy is bringing back Denver’s favorite July 3rd event — reimagined for 2024! The City and County of Denver presents a transformed, interactive, event that will feature Denver’s largest-ever drone show, the launch of Civic Center NIGHT MARKET, music from emerging young DJs, a live performance from the Colorado Symphony Brass & Percussion Ensemble, and two different light shows on Civic Center Park’s iconic structures! Visitors are invited to gather in Civic Center Park to experience great food, music and shopping at Colorado retailers until the drone show begins, at which time, they can find a spot on the lawn to enjoy and celebrate.

Event Schedule

  NIGHT MARKET (5-10 PM)

  • Food offerings and artisan market
  • Family Zone: Games and family-friendly activities
  • Located along 14th Ave
  • Will run concurrently with other activations during entire event time

 Youth on Record (5-8 PM)

  • Rising DJs play family-friendly pop hits

  CO Symphony Brass & Percussion Ensemble (8-8:50 PM)

  • Playing American classics in the Greek Theater

  Light Shows (9-9:30 PM)

  • Duration: 15 minutes (5 minute loops)
  • Voorhies will have uplighting & laser lighting

  • Greek Theater will have projection mapping
    • (9:05, 9:15, 9:25 PM)

  Drone show (9:40-10 PM)

  • 300 drones over Lincoln Veterans Memorial Park – Denver’s biggest-ever drone show!

  • Important Road Closure Information-
    • Northbound Lincoln will be closed at 13th Ave., Travelers on Lincoln should detour early via Speer Blvd. or 6th & 8th Avenues
    • Eastbound Colfax traffic should use Speer Blvd.
    • Westbound Colfax traffic should detour before reaching Grant St.
  • Road Closures/Parking Restrictions for Wednesday, July 3 only:
    • 2PM – Midnight: Lincoln from Colfax to 13th Ave.
    • 2PM – Midnight: 14th Ave from Cherokee St. to Sherman St.
    • ALL DAY: Bannock from Colfax to 13th Ave.
    • 4PM – Midnight: Broadway from Colfax to 13th Ave.
    • 4PM – Midnight: Colfax from Cherokee St. to Grant St.
  • Sidewalk Closures/Drone Safety Exclusion Area:
    • Please note that for everyone’s safety, the Drone show/Safety Exclusion Zone will be off limits to pedestrians. This includes the closure of all sidewalks in the following areas:
      • 2pm – midnight – The east sidewalk along Broadway from Colfax to 14th Ave
      • 2pm – midnight – both sidewalks along Lincoln from Colfax to 14th Ave;
      • 2pm – midnight – the north sidewalk along 14th Ave from Broadway to Lincoln
      • 8:30 – 10pm – The south sidewalk along Colfax and the south sidewalk along 14th Ave will be closed. Pedestrians are advised to travel along 13th Ave and come up the west sidewalk on Broadway to enter the park. 
  • The park will be fenced to ensure the safety of attendees, and individuals will be subject to a security screening at all designated event entrances.
  • Entrance is on Broadway between Colfax and 14th Ave. 
  • Please be sure to view the lists of allowed and prohibited items to make entry as quick and easy as possible.
  • We highly recommend biking, public transit or ride share for arrival to Indy Eve.

The park will be fenced to ensure the safety of attendees and individuals will be subject to a security screening at all designated event entrances. Please allow enough time and follow the rules below for the quickest entry into the park.

Permitted Items (all subject to search):

  • Non-glass empty water bottles (can be refilled at water stations on-site)
  • Small water-only hydration packs (empty) – subject to search
  • Cloth bags, soft packs (12” x 17” x 12” or smaller) including backpacks – subject to search
  • Clear bags permitted – subject to search
  • Blankets
  • Low-slung, collapsible chairs not in a bag are permitted for those unable to sit on the ground. These are subject to search.
  • Collapsible wagon and/or stroller(s)
  • Non-professional cameras
  • Service animals (performing tasks for a person with disabilities)
  • Medications
  • Sunscreen (creams and pastes, no aerosol)

Prohibited Items

Note this list is subject to change on the recommendation of the event security team.

  • Pets of any kind except service animals (performing tasks for a person with disabilities); assistance animals (emotional support) are not permitted.
  • Coolers of any material or size unless for medical necessity
  • Framed backpacks
  • Outside food, drinks, or liquid of any kind (Non-glass empty water bottles, permitted) unless for medical necessity 
  • Large purses, bags, or backpack
  • Weapons of any kind including pocket knives, pepper spray, or any objects that could be used as a weapon
  • Fireworks, sparklers, or smoke bombs
  • Generators
  • Megaphones, air horns, musical instruments, or amplified sound equipment
  • Glass of any kind (except for eyeglasses & sunglasses)
  • Grills, gas, propane, or open flames
  • Laser pointers or LED projection lights
  • Drones, remote-controlled planes or cars
  • Balloons, inflatables, or kites
  • Balls, frisbees, or sports equipment
  • Professional recording equipment or tripods
  • Bikes, skateboards, one-wheels, unicycles, roller skates, inline skates, or scooters
  • Markers, pens, chalk, stickers, or spray paint
  • Cigarettes and any tobacco products, including vape pens
  • Illegal substances, marijuana, marijuana products or paraphernalia
  • Outside vendors, unauthorized solicitations, handbills, sampling, giveaways
  • Furniture and anything that requires staking in the ground.
