Civic Center Conservancy is currently recruiting one-time volunteers to help with the upcoming Civic Center NIGHT MARKET Fiesta en el Mercado Culture Fest taking place on Friday, September 19, 5-10pm at Civic Center Park (Broadway + Colfax). 

Kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month, NIGHT MARKET Fiesta en el Mercado, in partnership with Bonfire Event Co. and Mexican Cultural Center, will bring bold flavors and good vibes to Civic Center Park.

This intentional celebration, centered on Hispanic Heritage, highlights the diversity and creativity of Denver’s Latin communities. This foodie-forward event will showcase a huge variety of authentic Hispanic cuisines and street food, plus specially curated themed-cocktails. Once you’ve indulged your taste buds, be sure to visit the street markets for handcrafted artisan wares, be wowed by cultural performances in the Greek Theater, and get creative with our one-of-a-kind art activations. 

Volunteer opportunities are diverse in nature, scope, and timing, including supporting vendor load-in and event setup, helping with guest wayfinding, and supporting load-out after the event.

Shift times and Descriptions

All shifts occur on Friday, September 19, 2025

2:00-5:00 PM 

Pre-Event: This shift will be primarily assisting vendors with load-in, setting up signage, and assisting the CCC team with other operational setup needs. For this shift, volunteers should be comfortable lifting 30 pounds and standing/walking around for at least an hour at a time.

4:30 – 7:30 PM
7:00 – 10:00 PM

During Event: These shifts will be generally wayfinding, providing visitor information and helping with the event’s sustainability efforts (such as monitoring compost stations). Volunteers for these shifts should feel comfortable talking with visitors.

9:00 – Midnight

Load-out and Strike: This shift will be providing support with tear-down and help vendors load out of the event safely.
