Planting Palooza SPARKLES Day

Volunteer Day Details
Welcome to the park!
The Civic Center Conservancy is looking forward to having you in the park on May 19, 2025 from 8:30AM-11:30AM. Please plan to arrive at the Civic Center Conservancy tent located on the Promenade near McNichols by 8:15AM so we can get started on time.
We are pleased to offer free parking, t-shirts, light breakfast, snacks and water; more information can be found below.
Our volunteer work is going to involve planting flowers and performing other various horticultural maintenance.

Here are some details to prepare for your volunteer day:
Forms – Volunteers must complete these forms before they can volunteer. The sign up form below contains the waiver and can be filled fill out now. If for any reason you are unable to fill it out digitally, we have both a waiver and a volunteer information form for each person in the park. The waiver covers both the City of Denver and the Conservancy.
Food and Drinks – The Conservancy will provide a light breakfast, snacks, and bottled water for all volunteers. Volunteers are welcomed to bring any additional drinks or snacks they want.
T-Shirts – We will have t-shirts for all volunteers on site. Volunteers may want to wear something light so that they can put the t-shirt on over the top. Please indicate your t-shirt size on the information form.
Parking – We are pleased to offer free parking in the Denver Post parking lot. Volunteers will be able to park by entering at the Broadway or the Cleveland entrances. Each volunteer vehicle will need to pull a ticket from the kiosk. The Conservancy will provide you with sticker validations that you will need to place on the back of each parking ticket. Please do not to park in any management, reserved or tandem parking spaces.
The Denver Post Parking Garage is a secured building so follow these steps to exit and enter the garage.
After parking, take the elevator (located at the center of the garage) to the lobby and exit through the main doors (Cheyanne exit). When returning, you’ll need to use the buzzer located on a small stand just a few feet from the door at that same entrance to gain access. Security is on site 24/7, so there will always be someone there to buzz you into the garage.
Upon exiting the garage, be sure to scan the ticket first, then the validation on the back of the ticket.
Tools and Gloves – The City of Denver and the Conservancy will provide all tools needed for the volunteer day. If you would prefer not to share gloves, please bring your own.
