Remembering our Ancestors through Art || Recordando a nuestres antepasades a través del arte

Día de los Muertos at Civic Center: Remembering Our Ancestors through Art, presented by Denver Botanic Gardens, will bring our community together as a collective to honor and remember our ancestors and loved ones who have passed. This event will allow our community to reflect on having a greater cultural understanding of death as a common human experience that should be honored and celebrated.

Supporting the vision of local artist Cal Duran, who is serving as Artistic and Cultural Director, the event will feature:

  • Community Altars
  • Art Installations
  • Traditional Music, Dance, Poetry, and Storytelling
  • Art & Craft Marketplace
  • Healing Arts Practitioners
  • Mexican & Latin American Food Trucks
  • Family-Friendly Activities
  • Community Ofrenda
  • Catrina/Catrín/Catrinx contest
  • Procession beginning at 6pm at the Welcome Arch on Broadway Terrace
