No outside beverages will be allowed. Non-alcohol beverages and alcoholic beverages sold on-site.

Food trucks will be available on-site with vegan and vegetarian options.

Outside food is allowed following the rules for coolers and bags (listed below).

Independence Eve is July 3, 2023!
Celebrate community, culture and country at Independence Eve presented by the City and County of Denver. This longtime Civic Center tradition is highlighted by a concert featuring the Colorado Symphony, a light show on the majestic City and County Building, and a spectacular fireworks finale.

Event Features
This event will feature: Music, a Lights Show, and Fireworks. There will also be food trucks and concessions featuring beer, wine, seltzer, and non-alcoholic options.
Music for the evening will feature local artists including:
- The Mañanas (5:30-6:15PM)
- The Reminders (6:40-7:30PM)
- The Colorado Symphony.

Arriving at the Event
The park will be fenced to ensure the safety of attendees and individuals will be subject to a security screening at all designated event entrances.
Entrances will be located near 14th Ave and Broadway plus Colfax and Broadway.
Please be sure to view the lists of allowed and prohibited items to make entry as quick and easy as possible.
Getting to Civic Center Park – Transportation + Parking
We highly recommend biking, public transit or ride share for arrival to Independence Eve.

Permitted Items
The following items are permitted:
Non-glass empty water bottles (can be refilled at water stations on-site)
Soft-sided coolers, six-pack size (10″ x 7″ x 7″ or smaller)- subject to search
Cloth bags, soft packs (12” x 17” x 12” or smaller) including backpacks – subject to search
Clear bags permitted
Small hydration only packs (empty) and subject to search
Food for personal consumption only; food must be in a clear plastic bag (one gallon or less), fruit and vegetables must be sliced, plastic utensils only
Plastic utensils (plastic only)
Blankets
Low-slung, collapsible chairs not in a bag are permitted for those unable to sit on the ground. These are subject to search.
Collapsible wagon and/or stroller(s)
Prohibited Items
The park will be fenced to ensure the safety of attendees and individuals will be subject to a security screening at all designated event entrances. Please allow enough time and follow the rules below for the quickest entry into the park.
Note this list is subject to change on the recommendation of the event security team.
The following items are prohibited:
Hard-sided coolers
Soft-sided coolers larger than 10” x 7” x 7”
Framed backpacks
Outside drinks or liquid of any kind (Non-glass empty water bottles, permitted)
Large purses, bags, or backpack
Weapons of any kind including pocket knives, pepper spray, or any objects that could be used as a weapon
Fireworks, sparklers, or smoke bombs
Generators
Megaphones, air horns, musical instruments, or amplified sound equipment
Glass of any kind (except for eyeglasses & sunglasses)
Grills, gas, propane, or open flames
Laser pointers or LED projection lights
Pets (except service animals)
Drones, remote controlled planes or cars
Balloons, inflatables, or kites
Balls, frisbees, or sports equipment
Professional recording equipment or tripods
Bikes, skateboards, one-wheels, unicycles, roller skates, inline skates, or scooters
Markers, pens, chalk, stickers, or spray paint
Illegal substances, marijuana, marijuana products or paraphernalia
Outside vendors, unauthorized solicitations, handbills, sampling, giveaways
Umbrellas, furniture, or lawn chairs
