DESCRIPTION:SPARKLES is a Civic Center Conservancy coordinated horticulture volunteer opportunity is in partnership with Volunteer for Outdoor Colorado. We will continue volunteerism efforts during Civic Center Park renovations with horticulture support for Denver Parks & Recreation in various parks around downtown. \nOn July 7 from 8:30-11:30am we will be at Gates Crescent Natural Area\, a unique green space along the South Platte River just outside of downtown Denver. Known for its wetlands\, wildlife habitat\, and scenic trails\, this area provides an important balance of ecological function and urban access to nature. \nVolunteers ages 12+ will help with horticulture tasks like planting flowers\, mulching\, debris clean up\, native and annual bed care\, and weeding! \nSign up here! \nIf you’re a participant in the Ready\, Set\, CO program through UCHealth\, be sure to fill out the completion form on the app at the end of your volunteer shift to receive your incentive.
