DESCRIPTION:******IMPORTANT – Due to significant cloud cover forecasted for this Wednesday\, we are POSTPONING  the February STARGAZE to THURSDAY\, FEBRUARY 26TH.\nAll existing tickets will automatically be transferred to the new date for the same time slot and you will use your ORIGINAL TICKET FOR CHECKING IN. Please email activations@civiccenterconservancy.org if you have questions or need additional information. \n============== \nSTARGAZE IS BACK! \nJoin Civic Center Conservancy and AstroTours on the Great Lawn in Civic Center Park for a celestial journey right in the heart of the city. Accessible to all ages\, we invite you to learn from skilled astronomers about the wonders of the cosmos\, constellations and their folklore\, and observe the moon and other celestial bodies through high powered telescopes. Enjoy tasty food and beverages available for purchase from a local food truck to round out an enchanting evening that promises an “out of this world” experience! \nFood Truck: Karun Cafe \nStar-cast: For this month’s event\, visitors can observe highly detailed views of the surface of the Moon (which is in its early Waxing Gibbous Phase) as well as Jupiter and Sirius\, the brightest star in the sky. This time of year\, the Pleiades or seven Sisters star cluster is another spectacular sight that will also be in view. For our later sessions\, there is also the chance to catch sights of the Orion Nebula! \nVisit the STARGAZE Page for the most up-to-date information\, policies\, and weather advisories. \nTicket information \nAll attendees 5 years and older must purchase a ticket. All children 12 and under require adult supervision (suggested minimum ratio of 2 kids : 1 adult).
